Belize, a small Central American country heavily dependent on imported energy, is taking steps to reduce the cost of electricity for its citizens. The government has partnered with the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), a US foreign aid agency, to improve the education and energy sectors, with a focus on reducing the cost of electricity.
