One senator criticized the trend of excessive borrowing by the current administration, while others supported the loans, saying they were for the right cause.

Belize's Prime Minister, John Briceño, has traveled to Nassau, Bahamas to attend the 44th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM). The meeting will cover several critical topics, including the implementation of the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME), climate change and financing, agriculture, and food security. CARICOM members have already passed 57% of the target to reduce the region's food import bill by 25% by 2025, and a report will be presented on the work being done in this regard.
