Is the drug Cartel operating in Belize playing the cat and mouse game with Police or do they possess and act upon the best intel money can buy?

Is the drug Cartel operating in Belize playing the cat and mouse game with Police or do they possess and act upon the best intel money can buy?

The Narco intel seemingly charted a brazen well-coordinated landing for a Sabreliner 65 Jet, which touched down and made a landing on a remote stretch of terrain 3 miles west northwest behind the village of Crooked Tree at around 2:00 am on Tuesday morning, delivering a payload of approximately 1 ton of cocaine to their on-the-ground handlers destined for the United States via Mexico.

Even after the fact, it is striking to note that the Belize version of Intel is clueless about the entire cartel operation or so it seems. Instead of firmly utilizing all its resources to move swiftly along the riverbanks of the Rio Hondo which takes you to the porous borders that take you into Mexico and incite a coordinated effort with their law-enforcement counterparts on the other side to follow the trail, they are stagnant with their investigations expecting to make a find in the heart of the Orange Walk municipality.

Yes, Police believe that since the plane landed far away from the border the drugs might still be in country but then again, they underestimate the wee-wee ants work task force that these cartel elements take seriously.
If we consider the remote location where the plane delivered its payload, at 2:00 am, it must be safe to assume that the cartel was one step ahead with their logistics which was a well-organized, thought-out plan.
Police say they were tracking the plane movements closely but did not lock in to get on the scene soon enough before the narco-operators and handlers could transfer the precious cargo from the plane on to the convoy of three waiting vehicles that secured their route out before police could appear.
A resident who wanted to remain anonymous said the plane circle the area before it dived down in an area where there were movements of men on the ground with torchlights working and others on the look-out in three pickup trucks
The police moved into the area after the cargo and men were well out of sight.
